The Kentucky Country Music Association was founded in 2002 by Kenny Reynolds with a vision of preserving, promoting, and encouraging Kentucky's rich musical heritage. KCMA is a Kentucky nonprofit educational association dedicated to educating, promoting, and supporting Kentucky artists and Kentucky music in the categories of New Country, Traditional Country, Bluegrass, Gospel, and Songwriting. Our mission is to provide opportunities for artists to grow, develop their talents, and share their music with audiences across the Commonwealth and beyond. At KCMA, we are more than an organization — we are a family.

For more than thirty years, Global Country Canada — an Edmonton nonprofit registered in 1992 by founding president Jim Perret, with longtime CEO and now president Maryanne Gibson — has been discovering and mentoring emerging Canadian country music artists while honoring the legends who came before them. Since joining NACMAI in 2004 it has brought its winners to Pigeon Forge every year.
